The Disciples of Ashael
A Changling vampire who wants be anything but a vampire.
Jin does not want his Vampiric nature to consume him and has joined the Disciples of Ashael to be certain he won’t. Jin was turned vampire not long after he came of age. For years he preyed on the living while under his master’s sway. Then one day the fog lifted, and Jin’s free will returned. Jin knew this could only have been accomplished if the leader of his coven was slain. Although he was curious about the identity of his saviors, Jin was hesitant and somewhat unwilling to take the risk of meeting them, should they look unkindly towards him as well. Instead he focused on controlling the hunger and utilized his shape-changing abilities to remain as unnoticed as possible. The hunger was strong, and irresistable more times than Jin wished. To ease his conscious during such times, Jin targeted those individuals he deemed society would not hardly miss: criminals, ruffians, and the occasional abusive husband. It was a struggle that fortunately went mostly unnoticed, until one day the Disciples found him. The Disciples of Ashael cornered Jin at the break of dawn. They were professional hunters, Jin had no doubt. As the sun rose it would seem Jin’s stint of immortality was at an end. Instead The Disciples offered him a deal. Join their ranks and assist them in protecting the public from the darkness, or to be culled to protect them from his own darkness. To Jin the answer was easy enough. Within their ranks, he could continue to live his life as he saw fit, and if Jin were to succumb to the blood lust of his nature then he had the assurance that his new “allies” would not let him live long enough to do much damage.
